Caldwell County Schools enables 21st Century learning with innovative projection solution

Caldwell County Schools in Caldwell County, North Carolina has a goal of growing 21st century learners. The nationally accredited public school district supports 26 schools with more than 12,000 students in grades K-12, with eight of those schools offering pre-school education. It is the largest employer in Caldwell County with 1,855 educators and staff.

The Caldwell County School System embraces a diversified student body immersed in a myriad of studies—from fine arts to engineering to career and technical education—through virtual and traditional settings. In addition, the district recently opened the Patterson Science Center, a Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) center for grades K-12.

To stay ahead of technology advancements, Caldwell County Schools began discussions with Trox Account Executive Darryl Dutcher about replacing their older model projectors. Using his deep industry knowledge and understanding of Caldwell County Schools’ specific needs, Dutcher collaborated with its IT department and conducted extensive research on the best solution.

The flexible, networked BenQ MX720 projectors were chosen for their high brightness, exquisite picture quality, and optimized lamp life.

“The IT Department wanted projectors that were easy to manage and didn’t require running from room to room to fix them,” said Dutcher. “BenQ’s networked projectors provide full access and control over every projector so that they can perform day-to-day projector maintenance and troubleshoot issues right from their workstations.”

The projection solution makes installation fast and easy for Caldwell County’s IT department. And with features such as XGA resolution, 3,500 ANSI lumens, and 13,000:1 high contrast ratio for brilliant presentations, teachers and administrators are enjoying the upgrade.

They use them in many ways, including with smart boards and document cameras and showing video clips.”

The school system plans to replace a total of 500 projectors with BenQ’s new technology, which teachers say is indispensable in today’s high-demand learning environment.
